DLA Piper advises Carlyle Global Credit on strategic investment in Circuit of the Americas

DLA Piper advised Carlyle Credit Opportunities Fund III (CCOF III) on a strategic investment in Circuit of the Americas (COTA), host of the Formula 1 United States Grand Prix.

CCOF III, part of Carlyle’s Global Credit platform, will provide capital to support growth initiatives at COTA, accelerate the opening of COTALAND, and fund additional destination experiences including plans for a water park and on-premises resort. The investment also advances Carlyle’s broader sports, media, and entertainment strategy.

“We are pleased to have represented Carlyle Global Credit on this strategic investment, which reflects the continued demand for flexible, complex capital solutions across the sports, media, and entertainment sector,” said Kfir Abutbul, Partner in the firm’s Global Capital Solutions practice. “This transaction underscores the role of our specialized Capital Solutions practice in supporting strategic and highly specialized deployment of private capital.”

In addition to Abutbul (New York) the DLA Piper deal team was co-led by Of Counsel Brady Lambeth (Houston).
