London—Global law firm Dentons has recruited highly regarded restructuring partner Kevin Heverin from Baker McKenzie in London. His appointment reflects Dentons’ continued investment in strategic practices and further strengthens the firm’s market position.
Recognised as a “Next Generation” partner in The Legal 500, Kevin is an experienced adviser on complex financial restructurings, workouts, special situations, capital solutions and distressed M&A, acting for a variety of clients including debtors, investors, creditor groups, sponsors and financial advisers.
Paul Jarvis, CEO of Dentons’ UK, Ireland and Middle East region, said: “Kevin’s hire responds to growing demand from clients for advice that anticipates risk, protects positions, preserves value and identifies opportunities. Against an increasingly complex macroeconomic backdrop, I am delighted to welcome a restructuring lawyer of Kevin’s calibre to the firm.”
Susan Moore, UK, Ireland and Middle East Practice Group Leader for Restructuring, said: “Kevin adds further depth to a team that advises clients across the capital structure, from stressed to distressed situations, and strengthens our ability to respond to growing opportunities across our client base. Major restructurings require strategic and co-ordinated advice across multiple jurisdictions, and Kevin’s arrival enhances our ability to support clients on these complex mandates.”
Kevin Heverin added: “Dentons has a clear strategy for the continued growth of its Restructuring practice. The depth of expertise across the firm’s international network means the team is very well placed to advise on the most complex cross-border restructurings. I am looking forward to the opportunity to work closely with colleagues across complementary areas including finance, corporate, funds and private equity to grow the practice and deliver co-ordinated advice to clients on a broad range of complex situations.”
