Dentons advised Modus Asset Management, an asset management company specializing in the renewable energy sector, on obtaining €58 million in debt financing from BNP Paribas Bank Polska and PKO Bank Polski. Modus Asset Management also obtained a bank guarantee for the PPA agreement, which is a key element in securing financing and implementing projects.
The funds will be used to finance and refinance the acquisition of a portfolio of photovoltaic projects with a total capacity of 93 MW, located in Poland. The investment is an important part of Modus Asset Management’s development strategy in the Baltic States and Central Europe.
The transaction, which included negotiating and concluding financial documentation, was supervised by partner Piotr Nerwiński, Co-head of Dentons’ Banking and Finance practice team in Warsaw, with the support of Dominika Krysiak-Bogdzio (associate) and Kamil Stankiewicz (associate).
