Dentons has advised BNP Paribas, Danske Bank A/S and Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken AB (publ) in connection with a £4.3 billion facility made available to Carlsberg Breweries A/S. The facility will be used to fund the recommended cash offer by Carlsberg UK Holdings Limited (a wholly owned subsidiary of Carlsberg Breweries A/S) for British soft drinks maker Britvic PLC.
Banking partner Simon Middleton commented, “It was a pleasure to be able to advise three of our key relationship clients in funding a strategically important acquisition for Carlsberg, adding a high-quality soft drinks portfolio, and creating an enhanced proposition for their business across the UK and Western Europe.”
The Dentons team was led by London banking and finance partner Simon Middleton, with public M&A advice from London corporate partner James Vernon. Alongside them, the core Dentons team advising on the transaction also included associates Esme Crofton, William Anthem and Adam Jones from the London banking and finance team.
