Dentons advises Hyve on its acquisition of LegalTechTalk

London—Dentons has advised Hyve, a global organiser of B2B events and provider of content, networking and customer engagement platforms, on its acquisition of LegalTechTalk, Europe’s leading event for legal technology and transformation.

The acquisition marks Hyve’s entry into the legal sector and represents the first acquisition under its Ascend30 strategy. LegalTechTalk has established itself as a leading event for the legal technology community and has recently announced its expansion into the US.

Sarah Zaman, General Counsel at Hyve, commented: “The acquisition of LegalTechTalk marks an exciting milestone for Hyve as we expand into the legal sector. We look forward to building on the success of the business and supporting its continued growth. Dentons provided commercial, pragmatic and responsive advice throughout the transaction, and we were delighted to have the team alongside us as we completed this acquisition.”

Joseph Collingwood, partner in Dentons’ UK Corporate team, said: “We are delighted to have advised Hyve on this strategic acquisition, and we look forward to working with the business again as it continues to grow.”

The Dentons team was led by Corporate partner Joseph Collingwood, supported by Corporate counsel Paul Flynn, Corporate associate Ciaran Harkness and Tax partner Lorna McCaa and Tax consultant John Finnick.
