November 24, 2025

London—Dentons, the world’s largest global law firm, has advised Gülermak Renewables, an aspiring independent energy producer, on its acquisition of the 49.9MW Corshellach Energy Storage Project in Moray, Scotland.

Gülermak Renewables specialises in clean energy through wind, solar, and battery storage technologies. In addition to works in the UK, Gülermak Renewables has renewable energy projects in Poland.

Once operational, the Corshellach project will bolster the UK’s power grid by storing excess renewable energy and releasing it during periods of high demand, thereby increasing energy stability.

The purchase of the energy storage project represents an important step in Gülermak Renewables’ mission to expand its presence in the UK and increase strategic investment in local clean energy infrastructure.

Corporate partner Michael Snook said: “We are delighted to have advised Gülermak Renewables on this acquisition. The deep technical knowledge and guidance offered by the Dentons team was instrumental in making this deal come to fruition.”

Projects partner Graham Richmond, said: “This acquisition was driven by the strong interest from investors in Britain’s renewables sector. This marks a substantial step forward for Gülermak Renewables as it continues to enable the UK’s clean energy transition.”

The Dentons multi-practice team was led by Corporate partner Michael Snook, supported by Projects partners Graham Richmond and Colm Ó hUiginn, Projects associate Alexandra Velizarova, Corporate associate Haejin Hong, Real Estate senior associate Liam McCabe, and associate Fraser Crombie.
