Dentons advises Electrica on the establishment of its €1 billion bond issuance programme

London/Bucharest—Global law firm Dentons has advised Societatea Energetică Electrica S.A., one of the leading players in Romania’s energy sector, on the establishment of its €1 billion Euro Medium-Term Note (EMTN) programme.

The base prospectus for the programme was approved on October 29, 2026 by the Luxembourg Financial Supervisory Authority (Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier – CSSF). The programme enables Electrica to issue bonds in multiple tranches, depending on its financing needs and market conditions, up to an aggregate nominal amount outstanding of €1 billion or its equivalent in other currencies.
