Clifford Chance advises PATRIZIA on partnership with Sixth Street to recapitalise healthcare real estate portfolio managed by PATRIZIA

Global Law firm Clifford Chance has advised global real asstes investment manager PATRIZIA on its partnership with leading global investment firm Sixth Street to recapitalise a portfolio of mission-critical post-acute healthcare clinics across Germany. PATRIZIA will continue to manage the portfolio through its closed-end fund.

As part of the transaction, PATRIZIA will remain responsible for investment management, thereby ensuring continuity in the further development of the portfolio. Sixth Street will provide long-term capital for the portfolio’s next phase of ownership, while K2MB Capital, an investment and asset manager for social infrastructure and healthcare real estate, will assume responsibility for the day-to-day operations and asset management of the portfolio.

The transaction reflects the long-term positive development of the post-acute healthcare sector. Demand for healthcare real estate in this segment continues to be supported by demographic trends, increasing healthcare needs and the essential role these facilities play within Germany’s healthcare system.

The Clifford Chance team comprised lead partner Fabian Böhm, senior associates Sabrina Tenebruso and Tatjana Bougargour, senior transaction lawyer Birgit Seyfert (all Real Estate, Frankfurt) as well as senior counsel Alexandra Margarete Uhl (Funds, Frankfurt).
