
Global law firm Clifford Chance has advised Santander US Capital Markets LLC, as initial purchaser, in connection with an issuance of US$130 million aggregate principal amount of additional 9.750% senior secured notes due 2036 (the Notes) by MSU Green Energy S.A. (MSU Green Energy), in a reopening transaction conducted pursuant to Rule 144A and Regulation S under the US Securities Act of 1933, as amended. The obligations of MSU Green Energy under the Notes are guaranteed by Chocón Hidroeléctrica Argentina S.A.
The firm also advised DEG – Deutsche Investitions- und Entwicklungsgesellschaft mbH (DEG) and Development Finance Institute Canada Inc. (FinDev) as DFI investors in the Notes reopening transaction.
