Clifford Chance advises Nexchip Semiconductor Corporation on its IPO and listing in Hong Kong

Global law firm Clifford Chance has advised Nexchip Semiconductor Corporation (Nexchip Semiconductor) on its initial public offering and listing on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, raising approximately HK$6.98 billion (US$890 million).

Partners Tianning Xiang and Fang Liu co-led the transaction with support from counsel Erxin Lu and Joy Chen, associates Ruonan Tang and Julie Luo, trainee solicitors Jill Zhao, Cian Fang and Lizzy Zeng, and legal analysts Iris Wang and Wen Wang.

Listed on the STAR Market of Shanghai Stock Exchange in 2023, Nexchip Semiconductor is a pure-play foundry specialising in 12-inch wafer manufacturing. The company focuses on the research, development and application of industry-leading technologies and provides wafer foundry services across a range of technology platforms and process nodes. Its products support a broad spectrum of applications including consumer electronics, automotive electronics, industrial control, artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things and memory products.

Clifford Chance has advised on several listings of companies in the semiconductor and related technology sectors in China, including the listings of Circuit Fabology Microelectronics Equipment, SG Micro Corp, Montage Technology, GigaDevice Semiconductor and InnoScience.
