
Global law firm Clifford Chance has advised Banco Santander, Citibank and Crédit Agricole and the other managers on the issue by the Principality of Andorra of €500 million 3.875% sustainability bonds due 7 October 2029 under its €1.2 billion Medium Term Note Programme.
This issuance marks the Principality of Andorra’s return to the primary capital markets since 2022.
The Principality of Andorra plans to use the proceeds to finance or refinance, in whole or in part, eligible green and social expenditures in accordance with its Green, Social and Sustainability Bond Framework.
The cross-border Clifford Chance team was led by partner Antonio Henriquez and senior associate Anna Buscaglia, with the support of associates Enrique Pais and Alejandro Gómez-Coronado. The Luxembourg law team was led by partner Marc Mehlen and counsel Antonio Arenas Torres, with the support of associate Céline Haddad.
