Clifford Chance advises IK Partners on the intended sale of Ampelmann to Standard Investment and management

Global law firm Clifford Chance has advised its longstanding client IK Partners on the intended sale of Ampelmann, a high-tech company focusing on the development, construction, rental and sale of offshore access solutions, to Standard Investment and Ampelmann’s management team, led by founder and CEO Jan van der Tempel.

Since its spin-off from Delft University of Technology in 2007, Ampelmann has established itself as a global market leader in motion compensated gangway systems, enabling safe access to offshore installations such as wind turbines and oil and gas platforms. Completion of the transaction is subject to customary conditions and approvals.

This transaction underscores Clifford Chance’s market-leading private equity practice and deep sector expertise in Energy & Resources.

The Clifford Chance core team was led by Jan-Hendrik Horsmeier and Ernst van der Touw, and further consisted of Nancy Stoke, Ruben van Diepen, Obilot Geuljans and Dounia Endlich. The wider team consisted of Michiel Sunderman, Stern Flik and Alec Sanderson (Tax), Sanne Blankestijn and Iga Mamczarz (Employment), and Roef Hofman (Notary).
