Clifford Chance has advised healthcare group Fresenius and its Spanish subsidiary QuironSalud on the sale of their hospital operations in Peru.
The divested portfolio consists of QuironSalud’s stake in the flagship hospital Clínica Ricardo Palma located in Lima. Entities of the Verme family, who currently possess a stake in the hospital, will acquire this interest, along with other local investors.
The Clifford Chance cross-border, multidisciplinary team advising on the transaction was led by partner Javier Amantegui, assisted by senior associate Javier Montañés and associate Beatriz Melo with support from associates Andreína Velásquez, Carlos Aleixandre and Xabier Olabarri. Counsel María Sabau advised on the financing aspects of the transaction.
