Clifford Chance has advised Equistone portfolio company BUKO Traffic & Safety (‘BUKO’), a leading provider of outsourced traffic and safety management solutions in the Netherlands, on its acquisition of a majority stake in Road Traffic Solutions Limited, a UK-based temporary traffic and event management solutions specialist.
The acquisition marks BUKO’s first step outside the Netherlands and represents a targeted expansion into a new high-growth market. Headquartered in Barendrecht, the Netherlands, BUKO Traffic & Safety employs c. 400 people and successfully oversees several thousand projects annually.
The Clifford Chance team was led by Jeroen Thijssen and further consisted of, among others, Ruben van Diepen, Bruno Weisser Lopez, Martijn van Beusekom, Hannah van Dijk, Michiel Sunderman, Stern Flik, Alec Sanderson, Tjerk de Jonge and Ceren Akgöl in Amsterdam and Matthew Scully, Georgia Mitchell, Francesca Baker, Emma Mack, Florence Wong, David Baxter, David Saleh, Victoria Parkhomenko and Daniel Ng in London.
