International law firm Clifford Chance has advised Bank of America and Goldman Sachs on the financing of the intended acquisition of Romanian grocery retailer Profi Rom Food SRL (Profi) by Ahold Delhaize. Bank of America and Goldman Sachs acted as Joint Underwriters, Bookrunners and Mandated Lead Arrangers to Ahold Delhaize in relation to the financing.
Profi is a leading traditional grocery retailer in Romania, operating 1,654 stores in the country. The acquisition will more than double the size of Ahold Delhaize’s existing Romanian business.
The Clifford Chance team was led by Boudewijn Vermeer and consisted of Titus de Vries, Genia Baardman, Daniela Chilkevitsh and Stern Flik.
