London: Global law firm Clifford Chance advised long-standing client Admiral Group plc, on its agreement to acquire the direct Home and Pet insurance personal lines operations of RSA Insurance Group Limited. The transaction involves the transfer of renewal rights to Admiral of the Home and Pet personal insurance books, along with the “MORE THAN” brand and associated employees. Admiral will pay £82.5 million, with a further £32.5 million payable depending on the number of insurance policies successfully migrated to Admiral.
Ashley Prebble, Head of the Global Insurance Group, led the team alongside senior associate Fergus Grady. They were supported by Zayed Al Jamil (partner), Don McCombie (partner) and Alex Walker (senior associate) who advised on the IP/IT aspects of the deal, Simon Persoff (partner) and James Wong (associate) who advised on data protection, Alistair Green (senior associate) on employment matters and Simon Corzberg (Director) on tax.
