Dentons announces today that Chad Higgins has been named managing partner of the Firm’s Portland, Maine, office. Chad succeeds Andrew Helman, who led the office since its establishment in 2022.
Chad joined Dentons in 2024, representing clients in state and federal courts across the United States in products liability and mass tort matters, with a focus on environmental litigation. Chad’s practice also includes counseling consumer products and food and beverage clients on a variety of regulatory and compliance matters.
“I am honored to build on the strong foundation Andrew established during his tenure as office managing partner. Our Portland office has tremendous momentum, and I look forward to supporting my colleagues as we continue driving growth, deepening client relationships and further strengthening our presence across the region,” Chad said.
Andrew, a partner in the Restructuring, Insolvency and Bankruptcy practice, joined Dentons in 2021 and became the founding office managing partner when the Portland office launched in 2022. Today, the office has grown to include 13 lawyers.
“I am proud of what our team has built together in just four years and excited about where we are heading. This is the right time for Chad to lead the office. We are in great hands with his passion and vision for what’s next for the office,” Andrew said.
“We are grateful for Andrew’s leadership of the Portland office and his impact on the office and the Firm. He brought valuable strategic insight as the office has evolved, helping to position it for continued success as a leading law firm in Maine. We are thrilled that Chad will lead the office into its next chapter focused on building on its current momentum,” said Managing Partner Keith Bice.
