Baker McKenzie has advised Deutsche Beteiligungs AG (DBAG) on the acquisition of a significant minority stake in VECTED GmbH. The transaction was signed on 4 September 2026; closing is expected in November 2026 and remains subject to customary regulatory approvals. The purchase price has not been disclosed.
The investment is being made as part of DBAG’s Long-Term Investments strategy. Founder and Managing Director Wolfgang Schöberl will continue to lead VECTED. Together, DBAG and the management team intend to expand production capacity, further professionalize the organization and broaden the product portfolio. DBAG is thereby supporting VECTED during a period of strong growth, driven in particular by rising demand for optronic solutions in the European defense and security market.
“We are pleased to have advised DBAG on this investment. VECTED combines technological expertise with a strong position in a dynamically growing market,” commented Christian Atzler, lead M&A partner at Baker McKenzie.
“The transaction underscores the growing importance of technology leaders to Europe’s defense and security sector,” added Dr. Markus Mörtel, co-lead of the transaction at Baker McKenzie.
