A&O Shearman has advised Apax Partners LLP (Apax) on its acquisition of the professional services unit from Evelyn Partners. The transaction will carve-out the professional services business from Evelyn Partners, who will continue to operate their financial services and wealth management business post-completion.
The acquired professional services business will be branded “S&W”.
S&W, one of the fastest growing U.K. professional services firms, will be backed by Apax, a leading global private equity advisory firm based in London.
The A&O Shearman deal team was led by partner Paul Dunbar alongside senior associate Adarsh Chhabria. The team also included associates Arabella Robinson, Aabynn Cha and Piers Edinborough and trainee Sultan Al-Shidhani.
The transaction is subject to customary regulatory approvals.
