Allen & Overy has advised MBDA UK Limited (MBDA) on its GBP4bn agreement with Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa S.A., under which it will support PGZ’s delivery of the NAREW air defence programme for the Polish Armed Forces.
MBDA will equip Poland with an enhanced ground-based air defence system capable of countering threats such as cruise missiles and fighter jets at ranges of over 40km, and provide technology transfer enabling complex defence equipment to be manufactured on Polish soil in years to come.
The core team was led by Nigel Parker, supported by Megan McMellon, Magnus Yadi and Alexandra Wyles. Tax advice was provided by Charles Yorke and Polish law advice was provided by Maciej Szykut, Marcin Ziarkowski and Artur Rutkowski.
