Allen & Overy has advised Edmond de Rothschild on the sale of their third party asset servicing activities based in Luxembourg to Apex Group Ltd, a global financial services provider.
As part of this agreement, Apex Group will also strengthen its footprint in liquid funds and depository activities by acquiring the custodian, fund administration and transfer agent activities of Edmond de Rothschild’s Private Equity and Infrastructure funds.
This supports Edmond de Rothschild’s strategy to focus on its core areas of expertise in private banking and asset management.
Allen & Overy acted as a lead legal advisor on the transaction.
The multidisciplinary cross-border team was led by Corporate and M&A Partner Jacques Graas as well as senior associate Matthieu Tourin and associate Khalil Boudhina from the Luxembourg office, with the assistance of Funds & Asset Management partner Jean-Christian Six, head of Financial Services Regulatory Baptiste Aubry, Employment law of counsel André Marc, Tax partner Jean Schaffner, IP, Data & Tech partner Catherine Di Lorenzo and their respective teams.
