Baker McKenzie recognized by Mergers & Acquisitions in 2026 Mid-Market Deals of the Year Awards

Baker McKenzie has been recognized by Mergers & Acquisitions for its role as legal advisor on two deals that were selected for the publication’s 2026 Mid-Market Deals of the Year Awards. These annual awards recognize standout middle-market transactions that demonstrate innovation, complexity and market impact.

Baker McKenzie advised Lyft on its USD 197 million acquisition of Freenow from BMW Group and Mercedes-Benz Mobility, marking Lyft’s first major expansion outside North America. The multi-jurisdictional transaction required coordination across Ireland, the United Kingdom, Germany, Greece, Spain, Italy, Poland, France, and Austria. Baker McKenzie’s deal team was led by M&A partners Aarthi Belani (Palo Alto), Christian Atzler (Frankfurt), and Tino Marz (Munich).

The Firm also advised Health-Ade Kombucha on its reported USD 500 million sale to Generous Brands from First Bev and Manna Tree. The deal reflects continued growth in the wellness beverage sector and highlights Health-Ade’s evolution from a small startup to a nationally distributed brand. Led by partner Brett Rodda (Los Angeles), Baker McKenzie’s deal team included partners Tyler Hilton (Los Angeles), David Goldman (Los Angeles), Mike Greaney (Los Angeles), associates Nick Woo (San Francisco) and Allie Callahan (Washington DC) and various other team members.

Baker McKenzie was also recognized in the 2025 Mid-Market Deals of the Year Awards for its role advising on Uniphore on its acquisition of ActionIQ and InfoWorks, as well as in 2024, for its role advising LiveRamp on its acquisition of Habu, and PointsBet Holdings Limited on the sale of its US business to Fanatics Betting and Gaming.
