Linklaters have advised Vantage Data Centers (a DigitalBridge portfolio company, and their European hyperscale data centre platform) on the completion of its investment partnership with a consortium of long-term investors, led by MEAG and Infranity, along with funds affiliated with the investment management platform of DigitalBridge Group, Inc. (together the “Investor Consortium”, and the “Investment Partnership”).

The Investment Partnership initially consists of six stabilised data centres in strategic locations across Europe and is valued at approximately €2.5 billion, including Vantage’s stake. The data centres span more than 1.8 million gross square feet and 177MW of IT capacity and are located in key strategic markets.

The additional capital raised from the Investor Consortium will be used to support the continued growth of Vantage’s EMEA data centre platform.

David Martin, Co-Head of Linklaters’ Telecoms, Media and Business Services sector team, comments: “We are delighted that our market leading platform continues to advise Vantage Data Centers on its strategic projects. Data centres are essential infrastructure for the digital economy, and this landmark Investment Partnership will enable Vantage Data Centers to continue to grow its EMEA data centre platform and provide high-quality services to its customers across Europe.”

The cross-practice and multi-jurisdictional team was led by Co-Head of Linklaters’ Telecoms, Media and Business Services sector team and partner David Martin with Corporate partners Daniel Law (London), Remy Bonneau (Luxembourg) and Sebastian Daub (Frankfurt), alongside counsel Josh Feit (New York) and Maxime Bertomeu-Savalle (Luxembourg), and associates Jessica Bremner, Nitesh Nagrath, Shivraj Rajendran and Ayo Thomas (London), Amélie d’Aspremont and Colas Surot (Luxembourg) and Vida Malakooti-Dehkordy (Frankfurt).

Counsel Laura von Samson-Himmelstjerna (Frankfurt), managing associate Jack Shand (London) and associate Henrik Kilian (Frankfurt) advised on real estate. Partner Jamie Coomber, managing associate Jack Harrison and associate Cora Hardy (all London) and associates Marie Gaucher and Ali Duarte Jaber (Luxembourg) advised on Tax.
