NetSPI, a leader in enterprise penetration testing and attack surface management, announced that global investment firm KKR is increasing its investment in the company with US$410 million in new funding. The growth investment validates NetSPI’s significant outperformance since KKR’s initial investment in May 2021 and will support NetSPI’s continued technology innovation, talent acquisition, and global expansion, as well as recapitalizing NetSPI’s first institutional investor Sunstone Partners.

Latham & Watkins LLP represents KKR in the transaction with a corporate deal team led by Boston partners Ryan McCarthy and John Miller, with Boston associates Laki Triantafylidis, Mike Casagrande, and Alison Eleey. Advice was also provided on tax matters by Bay Area partner Katharine Moir, with Boston associate Jeremiah Cowen; on benefits and compensation matters by Los Angeles partner Michelle Carpenter, with Los Angeles associate Vanessa King; on labor matters by Chicago partner Nineveh Alkhas, with Chicago associate Laura Waller; on intellectual property matters by Boston partner Sarah Gagan, with Boston associate Debbie Hinck; on export matters by Washington, D.C. counsel Andrew Galdes, with Boston associate Matthew Crawford; on insurance matters by Los Angeles partner Drew Levin, with San Diego associate Hannah Cary and Los Angeles associate Celia Lown; on finance matters by Washington, D.C. partner Manu Gayatrinath, with New York associates Ashley Rose and Michael Wright; and on antitrust and merger control matters by Washington, D.C. partner Ian Conner, Brussels partner Luca Crocco, Washington, D.C. counsel Joseph Simei, and Brussels counsels Wesley Lepla and Philipp Studt.
