DLA Piper advised LRQA, a leading global assurance partner, in its acquisition of EcoEngineers, a US-based consulting, auditing, and advisory firm with an exclusive focus on energy transition.
With this acquisition, LRQA gains over 120 sustainability experts to further strengthen its capabilities. In turn, the integration enhances EcoEngineers’ US presence while supporting its expansion into the European market, where sustainability regulations continue to gain momentum.
“It was a pleasure to advise LRQA on this exciting acquisition which will enhance its capabilities to support global corporate clients navigating the energy transition in carbon accounting, greenhouse gas verification and sustainability,” said Andrew Weil, the DLA Piper partner who co-led the deal team.
In addition to Andrew Weil (Chicago), the DLA Piper team was co-led by associate Christine Korper (Chicago) and included partners Michael Geller (Chicago), Paolo Morante and Drew Young (both in New York), and Nicholas Klein (Washington, DC); of counsel James Duchesne (Washington, DC); and associates Paul Mosser, Jason Veit, and Alice Gorman (all in Chicago), Alex Carlson (Los Angeles), Breegan Mayrant (Austin), and Bridget Jeong (Palo Alto).
