Global law firm Dentons advised Delin Property on the acquisition of a warehouse in the Arnhem-Nijmegen region in the east of the Netherlands from DEKA Immobilien. The purchase was made on behalf of Delin’s Dutch Core/Core Plus Logistics Fund.
The 36,600 sq.m. warehouse is part of the Bijsterhuizen industrial park. It is located in Wijchen, a strategic distribution hub due to its proximity to the heavily industrialized and most densely populated region of western Germany, as well as its easy access to major transportation corridors which enable trade with other western European markets. The building is occupied by printing supplies wholesaler ALSO International and Bikeurope, a subsidiary of Trek Bicycle Corp.
Delin Property is a fully integrated logistics warehouse specialist with a portfolio of approximately €1 billion of assets under management, spread across the UK, the Netherlands, Spain and Germany. For more than a decade, the company has been developing, leasing and managing logistics properties for its own investment and for third party investors, including its Dutch Logistics Fund and Blackstone funds.
Partner Dirk-Jan Gondrie led the transaction and advised on real estate aspects together with senior associate Stephanie Proost. The team further consisted of associates Mert Danismant, Tycho Mol, Harti Dumatubun and Bas Bruynsteen. Partner Sebastiaan Wijsman and associate Joost Boon advised on the tax elements of the project.
