Clifford Chance advised ABN AMRO Bank N.V. and Coƶperatieve Rabobank U.A. as Joint Global Coordinators and Joint Bookrunners, in relation to Dutch listed company Basic-Fit N.V.’s EUR 204 million capital raise through an accelerated bookbuild offering of new ordinary shares. Basic-Fit is the largest fitness operator in Europe, currently operating 905 clubs in five countries.
The net proceeds from the offering will be used to provide Basic-Fit with the financial flexibility to act on growth opportunities when they may arise and for refinancing and general corporate purposes.
The Clifford Chance team consisted of Han Teerink and Polly Huls in Amsterdam and Olivier Plessis, Thomas Hobbs Martin and Alex Bafi in Paris. Clifford Chance has advised ABN AMRO and Rabobank on a separate EUR 133 million capital raise by Basic-Fit in June 2020.
