Herbert Smith Freehills has advised NORD/LB on the financing of the acquisition of Curea Medical GmbH by French investment company Mérieux Equity Partners SAS.

Founded in 2010 and headquartered in Steinfurt, Germany, Curea Medical is a specialized provider of wound care products used in various medical treatment areas.

Mérieux Equity Partners, with offices in Paris and Lyon, France, specializes in venture capital and buyouts in the healthcare sector and has more than €1.5 billion of assets under management.

NORD/LB, with headquarter in Hanover is part of the S-Finanzgruppe and is one of Germany’s leading commercial banks.
