National Seminar cum Workshop on Tribal Rights

National University of Study and Research in Law, Ranchi is organizing a two day National Seminar cum Workshop on “Tribal Rights: Issues and Challenges in Jharkhand”.

Date: 23rd – 24th May, 2015

Themes for the Seminar/Workshop:

• Critical issues in implementing the rights of Tribals in Jharkhand
• Livelihood challenges for Tribals in Jharkhand
• Dispensation of justice for Tribals in Jharkhand
• Indigenous justice system for Tribals in Jharkhand
• Land Rights and dispute settlement for Tribals in Jharkhand
• Development and Tribals in Jharkhand
• Mining and Tribals rights
• Displacement, resettlement and land acquisition
• Justice to tribals under Forest Rights Act
• Panchayat (Extension to the Scheduled Areas) Act, 1996, (PESA)

Call for Papers:
Abstract on any of the themes mentioned above in not more than 200 words can be sent to dr.shwetamohan312@gmail.com or priyavijay29@gmail.com on or before 30th April, 2015.

Authors of the selected papers will be notified by 2nd May, 2015.

Soft Copy of the full paper must be submitted to dr.shwetamohan312@gmail.com or priyavijay29@gmail.com on or before 12th May, 2015. Co-authorship up to two authors is allowed.

Registration Fees:

• Academics/Paper Presenters: Rs.700/-
• Research Scholars: Rs.500/-
• Students: Rs.400/-
• Co authors: Rs. 600/- (Rs. 300/- each)
