Baker McKenzie is advising Genki Global Dining Concepts Corporation (GGDC) (TSE stock code: 9828) on its acquisition of Food Odyssey Pty. Ltd., operator of Australian sushi chain Sushi Sushi.
This acquisition represents a key step in GGDC’s international growth strategy. Through Sushi Sushi, the company will secure a strong market position, with approximately 180 restaurants operating across Australia. Sushi Sushi has also recently expanded into New Zealand and Saudi Arabia.
