Leading international law firm Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer has advised Morrison, a global infrastructure investment firm, on its acquisition of SuperFreeze Singapore, a cold chain logistics provider serving the food and pharmaceutical sectors, to establish its new APAC cold chain platform, Polaris.

Singapore based corporate partner and Head of M&A, Asia, Malika Chandrasegaran said, “We are delighted to support Morrison on the launch of Polaris and the acquisition of SuperFreeze Singapore, to create a scalable platform to meet growing demand for modern cold chain infrastructure across Asia Pacific.”

Morrison has over US$30 billion in assets under management. In Singapore, strong reliance on imported food combined with its role as a major transhipment hub, continues to drive robust demand for energy‑efficient cold storage capacity amid a persistent shortage of high‑specification facilities. The deal includes SuperFreeze Tuas, a fully operational highly automated cold storage facility that will serve as a cornerstone asset for Polaris.
