Clifford Chance advises Anadolu Isuzu on the acquisition of a majority stake in JV SamAuto

Clifford Chance advises AG Anadolu Grubu Holding A.Ş. and its subsidiary Anadolu Isuzu Otomotiv Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. on the landmark acquisition of a majority shareholding in JV SamAuto LLC from The State Assets Management Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan – UzSAMA.

AG Anadolu Grubu is one of Türkiye’s largest conglomerates, with operations spanning eight industries, while Anadolu Isuzu stands as a leading manufacturer in the Turkish automotive sector. The acquisition of JV SamAuto LLC, a prominent commercial vehicle manufacturer based in Uzbekistan, marks a significant step in Anadolu Isuzu’s international expansion strategy and strengthens its presence in Central Asia.

JV SamAuto LLC is a leading commercial vehicle manufacturer in Uzbekistan, producing buses, midibuses and light-duty trucks. With established assembly facilities, a nationwide distribution network and a well-established brand, SamAuto is a key player in the country’s commercial mobility sector.

This transaction is expected to further enhance cooperation between Türkiye and Uzbekistan in the automotive industry, fostering innovation and growth in the region. The acquisition will enable Anadolu Isuzu to leverage JV SamAuto’s established manufacturing capabilities and local market expertise, supporting the delivery of high-quality vehicles to a broader customer base.
