Dusseldorf—Global law firm Dentons is pleased to welcome Sebastian Wülbeck as a new partner in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice in Düsseldorf. As of December 1, 2025, he will strengthen the 20-strong Disputes group in Germany, led by Dr. Matthias Hadding.
Dr. Sascha Grosjean, Office Managing Partner in Düsseldorf, commented: “Sebastian Wülbeck is an excellent addition to our Düsseldorf office and our Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice. With his extensive experience in German and international litigation and arbitration, he will significantly strengthen our bench strength, allowing us to better meet the growing demand from our clients in the region and nationwide. With three new lateral partners joining in Düsseldorf this year alone, we are consistently advancing the growth strategy of our office.”
Sebastian Wülbeck has 10 years’ experience as a lawyer. After working as an in-house counsel at Uniper, he joined Dietrich | Graf Zedtwitz in Düsseldorf as a partner, where he headed the dispute resolution department. He represents clients – particularly from the technology, energy and infrastructure sectors – in commercial and competition law disputes before German courts and international arbitration tribunals. He has successfully assisted clients in numerous complex disputes in court as well as out-of-court proceedings, for example on issues of monetization, delayed completion and access to key digital as well as physical infrastructure.
Dr. Matthias Hadding, Head of Litigation and Dispute Resolution in Germany, added: “Sebastian Wülbeck brings exceptional negotiation skills and analytical strength to our team. We are very much looking forward to working together to support our clients in complex proceedings of all kinds – in court, in arbitration proceedings and out of court.”
Dr. Rebekka Hye-Knudsen, Germany Co-Managing Partner, said: “The addition of Sebastian Wülbeck to our partnership is an important step for the strategic development of our practice in Germany. Our clients are increasingly seeking advice on litigation and dispute resolution, in addition to regulatory and transactional expertise. Furthermore, Sebastian’s experience in contentious energy and infrastructure projects fits perfectly with our strategy. He will be a great asset to us – both professionally and personally.”
Sebastian Wülbeck commented on his move: “I am very pleased to become part of the Dentons team. The Firm’s global platform offers excellent opportunities to contribute my experience in national and international disputes. The close collaboration with a dynamic and committed team – in Düsseldorf and across the German and international offices – is particularly appealing.”
Dentons’ team in Germany includes more than 250 lawyers who provide full-scope legal advice across four offices. With the new addition, the Düsseldorf office will grow to over 30 lawyers, including 13 partners. Other recent partner joiners to the office include digital lawyer Jan Pohle, corporate/M&A lawyer Sebastian Klingen, and energy and transaction lawyer Dr. Kerstin Henrich. In April 2025, real estate lawyer Alexander Mühleisen was promoted to partner in Düsseldorf.
The global Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice brings together the talent of more than 1300 lawyers worldwide.
