Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer (HSF Kramer) has advised Infravision on its A$140 million Series B capital raise. The round was led by GIC, with participation from Activate Capital, Hitachi Ventures and existing investor, Energy Impact Partners.

Founded in Australia in 2018 by Cameron Van Der Berg and Chris Cox, Infravision’s proprietary aerial robotics system is a fully integrated combination of drones, intelligent ground equipment, and stringing hardware for the delivery of extra high-voltage transmission projects with greater speed, safety and cost efficiency.

This new capital will fund accelerated global deployment of the Infravision’s TX System to meet the ever-growing demand for power from AI, industrial onshoring, and electrification and the goal of doubling grid infrastructure by 2040.

The HSF Kramer team was led by partner and Co-Head of Australia Venture & Growth Capital, Elizabeth Henderson, senior associate Adam Ong, solicitor James Newton and associate Lucca Rolim with support from partner, Toby Eggleston, senior associates Roy Carbone and Naison Seery, solicitors, Elle Henriksen and Jeneesha Fernando, and graduates, Melissa Chung and Talia Shulkin.

Elizabeth Henderson said, “Congratulations to Infravision and its team on this huge achievement. We’ve been privileged to work with the company and its co-founders, Cam and Chris, since its early days and to have seen it grow from strength to strength to become a great Australian success story on the global stage. This raise is a testament to the ingenuity of the Infravision’s technology and the calibre and determination of its founders and management team.”

Infravision co-founder and CEO, Cameron Van Der Berg said: “We’re thankful for the HSF Kramer team’s expertise and support in completing this round. This funding marks another step forward in scaling our technology to modernise grid infrastructure worldwide – helping utilities meet surging demand for reliable, affordable energy as electrification, AI, and industrial growth accelerate.”
