Clifford Chance advises SX Global on debut of FIM World Supercross Championship in Argentina

Global law firm Clifford Chance has advised sports marketing and entertainment company SX Global on its agreement to host the first-ever Latin American World Supercross Championship (WSX) in Buenos Aires in 2025. This formed part of a series of new championship announcements between Buenos Aires and London.

SX Global, which secured exclusive organisational and commercial rights to the championship in 2022, is set to enter its second season under new management in 2025. Building on its track record of growth and delivering world-class events in 2024, the 2025 championship will include new host destinations.

A cross-practice, cross-border team from Clifford Chance’s Entertainment & Sports Group advised SX Global. The team was led by Jamie Andrew, with support from associates Hari Pannam and Ioana Burtea. Private Equity partner Neil Barlow provided strategic support, along with IP senior associate Alex Walker and associate Laura Hartley who also advised on the matter.
