Clifford Chance advises the lenders in relation to the renewal and expansion of STX Group’s environmental credit facility

Global law firm Clifford Chance has advised the lenders in relation to the renewal and expansion of the borrowing base facility up to €375 million for STX Group, a leading environmental markets and climate solutions firm. The expansion comes as a result of the interest among market participants, demonstrating the increased role of environmental products in commodities trading.

This follows on from the initial credit facility of up to €150 million, launched in April 2023, on which Clifford Chance also advised. This increase from the previous facility underlines STX Group’s growing role in the energy transition and underscores the deepening trust and endorsement of major international banks to environmental commodities markets.

The Clifford Chance team was led by Jackie Jones, and further consisted of Titus de Vries, Amin Tamaddoni, Tiaan Calitz, Chris Ireland and Niels Kuil.
