
In consortium with the Ukrainian Wind Energy Association (the UWEA) and other Ukrainian law firms, Dentons advised the Netherlands Enterprise Agency under the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy of the Netherlands (RVO) on a series of comprehensive legislative reform proposals which aim to foster the development of wind energy in Ukraine.
On October 10, 2024, the UWEA, Dentons, and other consortium members presented the report “Legislation Fostering Wind Energy Development in Ukraine” at an event at the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Ukraine. The report identifies gaps in existing RES legislation and proposes legislative reforms to ensure the effective development of the wind energy industry in Ukraine.
The proposed legislative changes cover environmental, construction, and land aspects, as well as issues related to grid connection.
