New partner joins DLA Piper’s private equity team in Paris

DLA Piper has appointed Thomas Priolet as a partner in the Paris corporate practice, starting on 12 September. He will join the Private Equity team. Thomas began his career at Salans (now Dentons) in October 2010, before joining Bredin Prat in 2014 and Ornano & Co. in 2021. He has extensive, solid experience in mergers and acquisitions, private equity and management packages and will help consolidate DLA Piper’s current expertise in these areas. He joins accompanied by two associates, Morgane Leduc and Sarah Gardes.

France is a key market for DLA Piper’s private equity practice, which has over the last three years acted on more European buyouts than any other firm, and Thomas’s appointment, along with the team that joins him, will provide valuable capability to DLA Piper’s clients. This is also part of DLA Piper’s broader international drive to strengthen its Private Equity offering.

Commenting on the nomination, Bob Bishop, Global Co-Chair of DLA Piper’s Corporate Practice, said: “Thomas is a well-known and highly experienced practitioner in the increasingly competitive French private equity market and we are delighted to have him join us. The quality of the clients he represents and the advice he gives them will be a great addition to our Paris team. We look forward to his contribution.”

Philippe Danesi, managing partner France of DLA Piper: “The arrival of Thomas, accompanied by his colleagues in our Private Equity team is part of our strong development and excellence in this area. Thomas shares the values, especially when it comes to highly collaborative work and we are delighted to welcome him to the office. “

Simon Charbit, Head of corporate at DLA Piper’s Paris office: “We are very pleased to welcome Thomas to our team. His experience and technicality will allow us to consolidate our practice in Private Equity.”

Thomas Priolet : “I am delighted to join DLA Piper which has excellent standing and recognition in the market. The firm’s strong international presence along with its complementary offerings are major assets in the provision of the highest levels of advice across the market. I look forward to working with my new colleagues across DLA Piper’s offices and practice groups and contributing to the global success of the firm.”.
