Linklaters has partnered with The University of the West Indies – St. Augustine (UWI) to launch a Virtual Legal Research Internship program. The four-week paid internship is designed to help UWI students prepare for a career in the legal industry.
Interns will work alongside Linklaters’ lawyers and business teams to develop legal and business skills through work across a variety of research and writing projects. They will also be provided with mentors from one of the firm’s many commercial practices.
Richard Smith, Linklaters partner, commented, “We are driven to make a difference, to our clients and to the world we live in and our partnership with UWI aligns with our purpose of empowering people around the world. We hope that this Virtual Legal Research Internship program allows students to widen their professional ambitions, understand the workings of a leading global law firm and build their international networks.”
Dr. Justin Koo, Deputy Dean Graduate Studies and Outreach, The University of the West Indies, St. Augustine, added, “The Faculty of Law at UWI, St. Augustine is pleased to partner with Linklaters to offer our students an international internship experience with a magic circle law firm.
