Linklaters has advised Carlyle on a 60% majority acquisition of Catalan technology consultancy company Seidor.
The remaining 40% of Seidor will stay with the founding shareholders and executives.
Carlyle’s entry, subject to regulatory and competition authorisations, aims to accelerate Seidor’s growth, focusing on Spain, the United States, Western Europe, and the Nordic countries, as well as Latin America, the Middle East, and Africa.
This is a significant deal for the technology and fund sectors, especially in the current M&A environment.
The Linklaters deal team consisted of Madrid and London-based lawyers, led by M&A/PE partnerĀ Esteban Arza, together with counselĀ Elena RodrĆguez.
