Latham & Watkins Advises Platinum Equity in Acquisition of The Cook & Boardman Group

Platinum Equity announced the signing of a definitive agreement to acquire a majority interest in The Cook & Boardman Group from Littlejohn & Co., LLC. Littlejohn will remain a significant minority shareholder. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Latham & Watkins LLP represents Platinum Equity in the transaction with a corporate deal team led by Century City partners Jason Silvera and Sean Denvir and Century City counsel Michael Montgomery, with associates Timothy Day, Tim Plummer, and Aubrey Thompson. Advice was also provided on tax matters by New York partner Matthew Dewitz, with associate Lukas Kutilek; on benefits and compensation matters by Washington, D.C. partner Matthew Conway, with associates Charity Wyatt and Dane Rebkowec; on intellectual property matters by Washington, D.C. partner Morgan Brubaker, with associates Andrew Abokhair, Zachary Shufro, and Tyra Richmond; on data privacy matters by Bay Area partner Robert Blamires, with associate Deborah Hinck; on environmental matters by Washington, D.C. partner James Barrett, with associate Ashley Maiolatesi; on ESG matters by London partner Paul Davies and London counsel Michael Green, with associate James Bee; on real estate matters by Chicago counsel Jeffrey Anderson, with associate Matthew Mrazek; on labor and employment matters by Chicago partner Nineveh Alkhas, with associate Jocelyn Wexler; on government contracts matters by Washington, D.C. partner Dean Baxtresser, with associate Allen Perry; on FCPA, OFAC, and sanctions matters by Washington, D.C. partner Joseph Bargnesi, with associates Elizabeth Annis and Ryan Malo; and on insurance matters by Los Angeles partner Drew Levin, with associate Harrison White.
