Latham & Watkins Advises Origis Energy in US$415 Million Financing for Swift Air Solar Project
Firm represents the renewable energy company in securing debt and tax equity funding for the solar project.
Origis Energy, a renewable energy and decarbonization solution platform, announced the close of financing for the Swift Air Solar project in Ector County, Texas. The US$415 million funding package includes construction, term, and bridge loan debt from Natixis Corporate & Investment Banking, as well as tax equity financing from Advantage Capital.
Latham & Watkins LLP represented Origis Energy in the transaction with a project development and finance team led by New York partner Kelly Cataldo. Project development and finance advice was provided by New York partner Warren Lilien, with associate Alexan Stulc. Advice was also provided on derivatives matters by New York partner Yvette Valdez, with associate Naffie Lamin; and on tax matters by Houston partner Jim Cole and New York partner Eric Kamerman, with associate Jared Kawalsky.
