DLA Piper has advised global real estate investor, developer and property manager Hines on the financing of the acquisition of a logistics property in Hainichen in Saxony, Germany, for its core-plus fund “Hines European Property Partners” (HEPP). The lender of this large-volume green property financing is ING Germany (ING). The fully let “Logistikzentrum Mittelsachsen” (LZM), which has been awarded the DGNB certificate in “Gold”, comprises a gross floor area of approx. 74,600 sqm, 258 car parking spaces and 14 truck parking spaces. DLA Piper advised Hines on the legal aspects of the financing under German and Luxembourg law as well as on the German real estate law.
