Clifford Chance He Ping Joint Operation Office* is advising LB Group Co., Ltd (LB Group) on its acquisition of relevant assets in relation to the titanium dioxide (TiO₂) business from Venator Materials UK Ltd (Venator UK).

The acquisition includes assets related to the TiO₂ business held by Venator UK, a subsidiary of Venator Materials PLC, including real estate, machinery, spare parts, business records, intellectual property, inventory, and other related assets.

LB Group is a leading manufacturer of high-performance TiO₂ pigments. With over 35 years of TiO₂ pigment manufacturing experience, LB Group manufactures a wide range of TiO₂ pigments for all major applications using the sulfate process and the chloride process.

The combined Clifford Chance He Ping team* advised on various aspects of this complex cross-border transaction. The team includes:

  • China: Glen Ma (Head of Corporate at Clifford Chance He Ping)+, partner Bai Yong, local partner Julia Peng+, counsel Fang Bao, senior associates Carol Jia,  Xiang Li+ and Michael Yan, associates Wanghao Jiang and Ziwen Wang, and trainee Yiyang Wang in Shanghai, Beijing and Hong Kong;
