Clifford Chance advises FDN on financing for green infrastructure projects in Colombia

Leading international law firm Clifford Chance has advised Financiera de Desarrollo Nacional S.A. (FDN), as borrower in connection with a COL$1 trillion (US$238 million) loan provided by BBVA and backed by the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA), a member of the World Bank Group.

The proceeds of the loan will be used to finance green infrastructure projects and highways in Colombia, including 4G and 5G toll road projects.

The Clifford Chance team comprised counsel Alberto Haito and law clerk Pedro Buchanan in Washington, DC.

The firm has a track record of advising on infrastructure financing transactions in Colombia, most recently advising FDN in connection with an e-bus financing in Bogotá, Colombia as well as on the financing for the first line of the Bogotá metro.
