Latham Advises on Halyk Bank’s US$475.41 Million Secondary Public Offering of Global Depositary Receipts

Latham & Watkins has advised Citigroup Global Markets Limited, J.P. Morgan Securities plc, and JSC Halyk Finance as joint global coordinators on the international offering of 17.4 million global depositary receipts (GDRs) of Halyk Bank of Kazakhstan (Halyk), together with the concurrent domestic offering of 205,000 GDRs, and 121.8 million common shares. Gross proceeds from the offering amount to US$475.41 million.

The GDRs are listed on the LSE and the AIX and the common shares are listed on AIX and KASE.

The Latham team was led by Riyadh partner Edward Kempson and London partner Mikhail Turetsky, with Dubai associate Lois Pickering.
