Latham & Watkins has advised Séché Environnement, a renowned French hazardous waste treatment and disposal company, on the S$605 million proposed acquisition of ECO Industrial Environmental Engineering Pte Ltd (ECO), the leading player in the hazardous industrial waste market in Singapore from Beijing Capital Eco-Environment Protection Group Co., Ltd. The acquisition, which is subject to Beijing Capital’s shareholder approval, aligns with Séché’s ambition to support its core industrial customers in the dynamic hazardous industrial waste markets of Southeast Asia.
The Latham team was led by Singapore partner Farhana Sharmeen and Paris partner Alexander Crosthwaite, with Singapore associates Tommy Tan, Elisabeth Ong, and Kevin Mak on corporate matters, and by Paris partner Thomas Margenet-Baudry, with counsel Aurélie Buchinet on finance matters.
