Clifford Chance has advised the lenders Banco Santander, Natixis CIB, Société Générale and ING on the financing for the acquisition of Digi’s FTTH network in Spain by a consortium comprising Macquarie Capital, abrdn and Arjun Infrastructure Partners.
The network will be operated by Onivia, Spain’s largest independent wholesale fibre platform and adds more than 4.25 million homes (with up to T./s million to be deployed in the next three years) to its current FTTH network offering.
The Clifford Chance team was led by Global Financial Markets Partner Eugenio Fernández-Rico and Counsel María Sabau, together with Counsel Car Fitzgerald, Senior Associate James Rodier and associate Emma Price (advising on English law issues), as well as associate Maria Vispo (advising on Spanish law). Senior Counsel Roberto Grau advised on tax matters.
