Singapore, 6 October 2021 – A Hogan Lovells team based in Singapore has advised ASX-listed AMA Group Limited, as English law counsel and SGX listing agent, on its recent AUD50 million convertible bond offering due 2027. The English-law governed bonds were offered in Reg S format to institutional investors and are convertible into ordinary shares of AMA Group Limited. The bonds are listed on Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited (SGX-ST).
The AMA Group is a leader in the Australian and New Zealand collision repair industry and associated auto parts market. This is the Group’s debut convertible bond issue in the international capital markets, the net proceeds of which are intended to be used to permanently repay debt facilities, for working capital purposes, liquidity (including for COVID-19 related disruption) and for supporting growth initiatives.
The Hogan Lovells team that advised the AMA Group was led by Singapore debt capital markets partner Andy Ferris, supported by associate Felicia Chen.
“It was our pleasure to support the AMA Group and to collaborate with the other transaction parties on this significant issuance”, said Andy Ferris. “We have been involved in a number of convertible bond issuances by Australian companies in the last year and we are confident that this is a structure well-suited to the needs of issuers and investors, particularly when markets are unsettled”.
