Womble Bond Dickinson (WBD) has advised longstanding client Piper, the leading specialist investor in fast-growing consumer brands, on its £5m investment into Wild Nutrition, a natural health supplements brand.
Founded in 2013 by husband and wife team Henrietta and Charlie Norton, Wild Nutrition has disrupted the UK’s £20bn health and wellness market. The brand offers supplements that are ethically and sustainably formulated by an in-house team who source the highest quality, fully traceable ingredients to provide solutions to common health needs – including pregnancy, fertility, immunity, energy, gut health, sleep, stress and anxiety and hormonal health.
Piper’s investment will allow Wild Nutrition to invest in strengthening the team, bring out a range of innovative new products, drive online growth in the UK and expand internationally.
The WBD team representing Piper was led by the firm’s Bristol corporate practice with partner Simon Hewes, managing associate Sammy Hill and solicitor Jo Norris advising on the transaction.
WBD has a longstanding relationship with Piper and acted on many significant deals for the equity firm, including on its investments into Forthglade, The Thinking Traveler, Pet Food UK, Flat Iron Restaurants, Neom Organics, Bottlegreen, Loungers, Orlebar Brown and Mindful Chef, on which WBD also subsequently advised the client on the sale of the business to the world’s largest food & beverage company Nestlé.
